Our Organic Hibiscus is made from carefully dried hibiscus calyces, rich in natural pigments and plant antioxidants. When brewed, it creates a deep ruby tea with a tart, berry-like flavour that can be enjoyed hot or iced. It is naturally caffeine-free and suitable for daily use.

Hibiscus has been enjoyed across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia for centuries as both a refreshing beverage and a traditional wellness herb. It is commonly served during Ramadan, Eid, and other celebrations for its uplifting, delicious, and cooling nature.

Hibiscus is naturally rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, anthocyanins and polyphenols. These compounds act as powerful antioxidants, helping the body neutralise free radicals and supporting protection against oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is associated with premature ageing, skin dullness, inflammatory imbalance, and general cellular wear.

Studies have investigated hibiscus for its role in supporting heart and circulatory wellness, healthy blood pressure within normal ranges, cholesterol balance as part of a healthy lifestyle, metabolic health, and liver health markers. Hibiscus also has a naturally mild diuretic effect, which is why many people use it to support fluid balance and occasional bloating.

There is also emerging evidence that hibiscus extracts may support healthy weight-management routines. Research suggests hibiscus polyphenols may influence fat metabolism and absorption, making hibiscus a popular addition to weight-wellness programs alongside diet and lifestyle changes.

For skin and hair, hibiscus is valued as a beauty herb. Its vitamin C and anthocyanins support collagen formation, while its mucilage content offers hydration and soothing properties. Traditionally, hibiscus has been used in masks and hair rinses to support scalp health, shine, moisture, and general hair vitality, while internally it supports antioxidant and inflammatory balance that also reflect in the skin.

Hibiscus polyphenols have also been studied in laboratory settings for antibacterial and anticancer activity. While hibiscus is not a medicine, the presence of these bioactive compounds explains why it is viewed as a strong therapeutic plant in traditional medical systems.
