This is more than a remedy. It’s a sacred cleanser — spiritually and physically.

In authentic Islamic tradition, Sidr (lote tree) leaves were recommended by the righteous to break sihr (black magic), remove the evil eye, and purify the body during ghusl. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that ghusl is part of faith, and these leaves were used in preparing the deceased — a sign of their purity.

One of the earliest narrations of its ruqyah use comes from respected scholar, Wahb ibn Munabbih, a tabi‘i (scholar from the generation after the Sahabah), who advised:

“Take seven sidr leaves, crush them, mix with water, recite ruqyah upon it, drink three sips, and use the rest for washing.”
(Reported by Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bari)

Though often attributed to ʿA’isha (RA), there’s no sahih chain directly from her — but scholars and healers have used this method for generations in spiritual healing.

🌿 Why Sidr Leaves Work:

  • Naturally antimicrobial — helps remove bacterial buildup from the skin

  • Rich in flavonoids & tannins — which soothe eczema, calm inflammation, and reduce itching

  • Saponins create a gentle lather — perfect for a clean, detoxifying rinse

  • Energy-cleansing: Traditional Islamic healers use sidr for emotional “heaviness” from evil eye or spiritual attack

🧴 How to Use:

For Ruqyah Bath / Evil Eye / Sihr Relief:

  1. Take 7 sidr leaves and crush them (or use a handful of dried leaves)

  2. Mix into a bucket of water

  3. Recite ruqyah (Surah Al-Falaq, Al-Nas, Al-Ikhlas, Ayat al-Kursi, Al-Fatiha, and any personal du‘a)

  4. Drink 3 sips

  5. Bathe with the rest — start from the right side, letting it rinse over your body
Repeat for 7 days if needed or untill you heal.

Important Note on Ruqyah Bathing Water

When using ruqyah water, especially water that has had Qur'anic verses recited over it it’s best to bathe inside a container or bucket, rather than letting the water go directly down the drain. If possible, collect the water and dispose of it respectfully, such as outside on clean soil or near a plant.

While some scholars have said it is permissible for ruqyah water to go down the drain, many advise caution out of respect for the Qur’an. To maintain the highest level of adab (manners), it is better to avoid pouring it directly into the bathroom plumbing if you can.
